Lounar is a London based melodic rap project born out of creative frustration during lockdown, with songs that touch on personal issues of duality, identity + culture shock and intergenerational trauma that came with forced displacement of the Palestinian diaspora (Daye3 EP + Keemtak) as well as being able to churn out short, poppy tunes for the crowd to have a dance to. Over the last year Lounar would play all sorts of line ups from punk/hardcore to local rap shows, with the intention of displaying the mental + sociological implications of what it's like to be raised in an environment so far removed from your origins. New music out in 2023.
