Poet, Songwriter, and Visual Artist, Sampa The Great's introspective, socially conscious music strives to uplift, empower, and inspire positive change. Zambia-born and Botwana-raised, her delivery flows between aggressive, confident rapping, smooth soul-Jazz singing, and poetic reflections, while drawing on Hip-Hop beats, African influences, and spiritual Neo-Soul. Regularly championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Gilles Peterson, and Lauren Laverne, her electric live productions have seen her compared to other boundary pushing contemporaries such as Solange and FKA Twigs.
